Where can I donate gently used toys & books in Monmouth Constituency, NJ?
I have tons of books (ranged from very young to teen), sterile stuffed animals, and gently used toys (all pieces in house and constant). It is IMPOSSIBLE to find a house that will acknowledge donations.
I tried the Salvation Army, and they can't acknowledge any toys/books for the next four months for reasons unknown. Community Ronald McDonald houses, Toys for Tots, and Red Cross only want strain new and subdue package equipment. The community hospitals won't take it (which I kind of be with you for sterilization issues in the stuffed toys) and community Friendliness only takes clothing bits and pieces, and refuses toys and books.
I'm at wits end. I would just despise to trash all these equipment when I know there has to be those out there that may maybe like them as much as I did as a outcome. It's not like these equipment are in terrible affect up. I cleaned everything; toys and puzzles subdue have all their pieces, the books are obviously read, but subdue in clad affect.
Does anyone know where I can donate these equipment?
When I was visiting my niece in N.J.( Englewood) I attended mass at the community Catholic Church, the priest talked about the programs they have inane for the needy of the Parish. Choice single mothers with clothes, toys and food linking their wf checks was one of them. The additional was choice seniors with visits and food to tide them over. Choice the un-employed etc. I mediate they were the Carmelites and they have a web site. Look it up and perhaps your stuff will help out a needy family tree
Excellent Luck!
