how do you make a stuffed animal?

i want to make something for my older sister, preferrably an owl. can you give me instructions, thoughts, places to get patterns, etc. links and and thoughts are welcome! thankss! :]

oh, and maaaybe a turtle or a koala. but owls are splendid, too. :]

oh, and build-a-bear is out of my financial proclamation, and it's not homemade ample.

1)Build-a-bear. They allow you to pick a bear, stuff it, place a heart surrounded by of them, and they even have a dress-up station where you buy clothes, and you get a birth certficate !

2)but if you're on a financial proclamation, you may maybe use ancient pantyhose, stuffed with cotton balls and button or googly-eyes. Tie thread thightly nearly some cotton balls to make hands or feet. You may maybe also use felt in a triangle-affect for the beak.
*TIP* owls are supposed to be "Smart", so use wire or pipe cleaners to make glasses for him XD Have fun!
