What is the best way to sterile my 19 mth ancient's stuffed animal?

She has a small stuffed puppy and its really dirty. I want to know whats the safest way to sterile it without destroying it or using harsh cleaners on it? Wretched if this is in the incorrect category.

If there is a tag on it, it must have cleaning instructions.

Most of the time, as long as there is no electronic diplomacy on it, washing it in the washing machine works just fine. The only kind of stuffed animal I know of that can't go in the washer and dryer is the kind that have the really long, soft, fuzzy kind of fur, like they use on stuffed baby chicks a lot nearly Easter. The "fur" gets kind of singed. But your regular lavish toy does just fine in the washer and dryer.

If you haven't cleaned it before to, be set for the likelihood that she gets mad that you washed it. Most small kids are so emotionally caught up to their lovies and, as grave as it seems to grownups, the smell of them. Washing it takes the smell away, and some kids get upset about it. Not all kids do that, mine did not, but I do know some who do.
