How do you become a reptile rescue organization for FL?

I am a volutneer for 3 yrs now at my community animal shelter and have seen many animals come into the shelter. Frequently what I help with is their reptiles and exotics which we have a conundrum with where I live and get many title-holder turn-ins, abused/neglected, and injured cases and I was looking into becoming a rescue org. to help them out and some animals that come in need urgent circumstances care but legally im not allowed to take care of them off the premises of the shelter. This causes a circumstances when you get stuff like a15 ft burmese python that someone has just establish in their crumb and is now at the shelter, dehydrated, has respiratory harms, roofed with ticks, scars, is very grave, and hungry. For many situations like this I have to wait for stray time to come up inorder to take care of it. Me and my family tree have been adopting them out of there for yrs now and have positioned many with homes. I have a vet, encounter, cash, interval, and time. Does any self know how to become one?

initially talk to your community constituency humane the high classes and your vet. when you are dealing with city, constituency & disorder laws (and you would be) it can be complicated and take time. lots of red tape and you need patience dealing with all that government 'stuff'-

Acquaintances of ours are a desert tortoise rescue and it took about 3 yrs. but now they are one of the initially contacted by community agencies. its worth the time and effort. you force also want to thought-out using your gift (where you keep and care for them) for culture purposes. (like scout troops coming to gather from you)
